In the heart of the Ribeira Sacra, Casa do Coucheiro is a fully restored traditional 19th-century house accommodating up to 20 guests, with spaces designed for spending time together and unwinding
With 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and an additional toilet, the house has been carefully designed for groups to enjoy time together without compromising on comfort. At the heart of the house is the dining room, with large tables where everyone can gather for long conversations and memorable meals together.
The dining room connects to a fully equipped kitchen. Its central island, designed with food lovers in mind, is the perfect place for several people to cook together, prepare appetisers as a group or enjoy a glass of Ribeira Sacra wine while chatting around the kitchen.
The house is designed to be enjoyed throughout the day. A spacious living room with views invites you to relax, take in the scenery and enjoy unhurried conversations. From here, you can step out onto the balcony, the perfect spot to feel the morning breeze over your first coffee or gaze at the stars after nightfall.
If you're more of a “cosy blanket and a movie” person, the entertainment room is the perfect place to watch your favourite films on the projector, play board games or settle down with one of the books available.
For a good coffee in great company, you'll also find a cosy seating area at the heart of the house, with a small table surrounded by armchairs.
To ensure maximum comfort for everyone, the house has seven welcoming bedrooms in a range of layouts to suit your needs: spacious suites with private bathrooms and sofa beds, an accessible bedroom for guests with reduced mobility, rooms with double beds and rooms with single beds.
At Casa do Coucheiro, Chantada's natural surroundings can be enjoyed both indoors and out. The outdoor space is designed to help you make the most of every moment: linger over breakfast in the morning light, enjoy dinner under the stars or simply share a glass of Ribeira Sacra wine with the convenience of having the kitchen just a few steps away. A spacious, safe place where children can play freely.
